It������s been 5yrs since Brenda has been athlete of the month! It������s funny to look back on those days when we worked to get her in, there was a huge language barrier but we knew that movement is a language that translate to any part of the world! Since those days Brenda is a devoted member, crushing workouts and completed a L-1 Scholarship within the gym! She like many others in the gym are the epitome of our mission statement ������Fitness rooted in Community������! Learn a bit more about an awesome lady below:

What makes you, you?Wow , this was a surprise for me . Definitely love , love for my family and people who love me . The challenges , without a doubt I like the challenges even though I am always afraid of failing . The experiences, the good and bad experiences so far, I have enjoyed the good ones and learned from the bad ones .Describe your experience at CFNC.Time passes very quickly, without realizing it, so much time has passed, I still think that training CrossFit has been one of the best decisions , it changed my life in different areas, without a doubt CFNC introduced me to CrossFit with a lot of patience, passion and dedication.What are your major life goals?Being a person with a healthy lifestyle who promotes exercise and good nutrition to others, being able to maintain an economically stable life by having a job that allows me free time to do what I like and, of course, having the ability to continue training CrossFit.What are your 3 major CrossFit goals?This question is funny, the first time I answered I didn't realize the effort and dedication it takes to achieve the goals, of course I keep working on each exercise and I would like to make progress in the hand stand walk and Bar MU .What has been your favorite CrossFit moment so far?I think I got excited when I hit my first bar MU , though it 's still a challenge to achieve it consistently.What has been your favorite CrossFit WOD and why?I think the first time Jefferson and i did MURPH together , it������s a hard exercise but we always get excited when the date approaches , suffer it and at the same time enjoy it together feels good.Where do you see yourself in 5 years?working in my business with more free time, in 5 years my son will be an adult. I would like to see him grow as a person and enjoy his achievements.What is your favorite cheat meal?I like the tacos but also enjoyed the hot wings.What is the most challenging aspect of CrossFit?Continue even if it hurts because you know it will never be easy.What advice would you give to someone new to CrossFit?Many people think that CrossFit is only for competition, however, you compete with yourself, I would tell them to give themselves the opportunity to try it and not give up before starting.What is your personal 'walkout song' or anthem?I'm always listening to music and I like all kinds of music I don't have any in particular.
